The long-awaited follow-up to the original Haring Ibon Playing Cards is here! This time, this Philippine Playing card set features a wide variety of iconic Philippine Wildlife!
The Philippines is widely recognized as a megadiverse country, home to a plethora of flora and fauna, many of which are not found anywhere else on earth. This playing card set is a mere glimpse into 54 of the most iconic and most threatened Philippine wildlife, from birds, mammals, reptiles, frogs, butterflies, marine animals, and flowers, all adorned with Philippine textile motifs throughout the packaging, all masterfully illustrated by artist and designer Vinz Pascua.
Each species that we have featured is accompanied by its Common English Name, Scientific Name, and local names for most of them. Each card also includes its 2026 IUCN Red List 3.1 status and the corresponding DENR and BFAR conservation statuses.
These cards were first launched as a surprise during the 2nd Leg of the Quezon City Bird Race and the book launching of Lord of the Forest.
